While studying at Grand Valley State University, I had the opportunity to work with other mediums. I learned oil painting, etching & monotype, and ceramics. Outside of graphic design work I love to oil paint.

The reference for this painting is a photograph taken of myself, my two brothers, my two cousins, and my grandparents in the summer of 2002. I enjoy creating work based on my childhood memories, this is one of my favorite memories.

This painting is inspired by how I viewed my life in 2003 as a 3 year old. I referenced a photograph of myself and my cousin playing and dressed up in princess dresses.
